The actress, once an Vogue cover girl magazine, lives today in Beverly Hills along with Samantha and Olivia. Ann Turkel, who was wed with Richard Harris for eight years before he divorced her twenty years ago, is still trying to reconcile the death of Richard Harris. Turkel was born into the midst of a Jewish family and was raised through her maternal grandmother in Manhattan. When she reached she was 16 she was studying under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton, both at the Neighborhood playhouse, as well as at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy. The band also took part in a year of summer stock stage at the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts performing in plays like The Pajama Game" and West Side Story. It was while performing with her band at an evening of fashion shows when Ann was found through Gloria Schiff an editor at Vogue Magazine. Diana Vreeland ordered Ann to take part in her first Vogue photo shoot with Richard Avedon within one week. Ann was soon one of the top models across the nation, gracing the covers of some of the most popular fashion magazines. These included Vogue Bazaar as well Cosmopolitan. Ann began modeling for Max Factor Revlon in Europe as well as Japan with Max Factor Revlon as well as Chanel after two successful years.
