Aubrey Peeples

Aubrey Peeples is an American actor and singer from the United States. She was best known for the role of Layla Grant on the television drama Nashville (2012) as well as Claudia Shepard (Sharknado 2013). In 2015, she took on her role as Jerrica Jem as part of the movie Jem and the Holograms. Aubrey Peeples was raised in Lake Mary, Florida, by her parents Wendy along with her sister Ashley. Her older sister is Ally. Aubrey was an actor with Orlando Repertory Theatre during her childhood. Her valedictory speech was one of the highlights of her class during her time at Lake Mary Preparatory School. Harvard University admitted her, but she had to agree to her admission twice in order for her role at Nashville. Peeples guest-starred in Drop Dead Diva (2009) Burn Notice (2007) Austin & Ally (2011) Grey's Anatomy (2005) and also had the role of a regular in Necessary Roughness (1991). She appeared in the television films Ace Ventura Jr. Pet Detective (2009) and The Good Mother. She was Layla Grant, a major character in the Nashville second season drama. Peeples disclosed that she suffers from bipolar disorder in an interview in the spring of 2019 with NKD Magazine. Indiewire identified Peeples among the most talented actors who are younger than 20 in September 2014.
