Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his distinctive style. She has performed on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician, singing and playing in the local church. She attended Spellman College and began to study the R&B style of Atlanta. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You the House was only released in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and has become a staple of her live shows. She has also contributed her singing to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She became the primary keyboardist at Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls, the theatre production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was brought to the attention of all of the country during 4 performances a day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine followed up with being asked to sing in the presence of the President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
