Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to in the media as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter the city she grew up in after her birthplace. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother who were both authors as well as editors. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father had her Jewish background. Her half-siblings are younger, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California when she was just seven years old. older. The town didn't even have electricity. Ryder was an avid reader and spent her time reading books because there was no television. Ryder at the age of 12 enrolled at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. She pursued her dream. Her breakthrough came with Tim Burton's Beetlejuice in the year 1988. Ryder continued to be successful in her parts in a variety of films. She received nominations for two Academy Awards one for her performance on The Age of Innocence (1993).
